BEIJING, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- President of Xinhua News Agency Fu Hua met with Isabel Domingos, Sao Tome and Principe's ambassador to China, in Beijing on Wednesday.

Fu said that the outcomes of the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) have charted the future course and mapped out the blueprint for the common development of China and Africa.

During the summit, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Sao Tome and Principe's Prime Minister Patrice Trovoada announced the elevation of bilateral ties to a strategic partnership.

Fu said guided by the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, Xinhua will tell good stories about the win-win cooperation and people-to-people ties between the two countries, as well as between China and Africa.

Fu added that Xinhua will give full play to its advantages in global outreach to contribute to the common pursuit of China and African countries in realizing modernization.

Highlighting the importance of people-to-people exchanges in bilateral relations, Domingos said the Embassy of Sao Tome and Principe in China stands ready to promote the cooperation between the African country's media organizations and Xinhua, implement the outcomes of the FOCAC summit and bring benefits to the two peoples. ■
